Pitbull (born Armando Christian Pérez on January 15, 1981) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and businessman from Miami, Florida. Known for his energetic party anthems, distinctive flow, and ability to fuse hip-hop, reggaeton, and pop, he has become one of the most commercially successful Latin artists of the 21st century.
Early Life and Career
Pitbull was born to Cuban immigrant parents and grew up in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood. He began rapping in high school and gained attention with local performances. In 2001, he joined the rap group The Party Boys and eventually signed with TVT Records, releasing his debut album M.I.A.M.I. in 2004. The album showcased his Miami-influenced hip-hop style and bilingual lyrics.
